James Haynes

James Dougles (Doug) Haynes was born on November 5, 1961 and died on February 1, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Jones Haynes and his father, James Edward Haynes.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Padgett Haynes, his son, David Haynes, and grandson, Dawson Haynes and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Doug graduated from Cherokee High in 1979 and began a 45 year career with Coca Cola in Atlanta, Georgia. He was on disability leave when he died.

Doug was a member of New Harmony Church. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking, He and his son baled hay in the summer and he worked for A1- Heritage Landscaping and Supply in his spare time.

Doug was a wonderful husband and father. He was a good friend to so many people. He was the type of person who would help anyone who needed his help. He will be missed.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 3:00PM-8:00PM, at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends from 1:00PM-2:00PM, on February 5, 2025. The funeral will take place at 2:00PM on February 5, 2025.
Interment will follow at New Harmony Baptist Church.
