James Leroy Hargreave

James Leroy Hargreave, 90 of Cumming, GA died at his home on October 28, 2013. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Hargreave. His beloved wife, Juanita also predeceased him. James retired from the US Navy after 22 years, six months and one day of service. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam as a pilot. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by his family. He is survived by his children, Richard (Cindy) Hargreave, Barbara Grogan, Cathy (Michael) Massie, Delores (Henry) Shoemacher and Joseph Hargreave; and 12 much-loved grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, October 29 from 6:00 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, October 30 from 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home. James will be buried at sea with military honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or the Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
