James Fitzpatrick

James Mathew Fitzpatrick, age 96, of Cumming, GA passed away on April 13, 2020. Jim was born in Solvay, NY. He was a long time resident of North Syracuse, NY. Jim and his wife Rose moved to the Atlanta area in 1983.

Jim retired in 1982 after 35 years of service from Carrier Corporation in Syracuse. He also retired from Our Way Inc. in Tucker, GA in 1989. He was a veteran of the Unites States Navy serving during both WWII and the Korean War. He is also a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA.

Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife Rose, his parents Mathew and Anna (Doran) Fitzpatrick, and a sister Mary Fitzpatrick. He is survived by his sister Agnes (Richard) Forger of Solvay, NY, his sons James (King) Fitzpatrick of Newhall, CA, Terry (Cindy) Fitzpatrick of Lawrenceville, GA; Daughters Patricia (James) Piwinski of Kirkville, NY, and Maureen Wilson of Cumming, GA.

He is also survived by his brother-in-laws Frank & Robert (Eileen) Sgarlata; sister-in-law Frances Duszak of Solvay, NY. He is survived by grandchildren Jodi (Phil) DeAugustine, Jay (Amy) Dunn, Brian Fitzpatrick, Tim Fitzpatrick, Michael Fitzpatrick, Craig (Audra) Wilson, Jamie and Christa Bates. He is also survived by great grandchildren Kennedy, Madison, Aaron, Connie, Samuel, Austin, Alex, Kaylyn and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will held at the East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens on Friday, April 17th.
