James Daniel Cunningham

Cunningham, James Daniel (Jim), age 87 passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Cumming, GA with his daughter by his side.

Jim was a graduate of Georgia State University, an Army veteran and served in the Korean war. He spent over 40 years working for AT&T. He was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. William S. Bevington Council 9132 since 2008. He advanced to the Fourth Degree and was a member of Bishop Joseph Durick Assembly 2389. He served as chairman of fundraising activities and participated in countless acts of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism with the organization.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife Erlinda in 2019. He is survived by his brothers Donald Cunningham and Clifford Cunningham; his son James Scott Cunningham and wife Debbie, granddaughter Dori Shaffer; son Donald Otto Cunningham and wife Susan, grandson Rush Cunningham, granddaughter Jessica Stephens; his daughter Josie Ruth Kay McGee and husband Thomas McGee, grandson Michael McGee; stepsons Dexter Dava and partner Alicia Johnson (daughter Mya Johnson); Lemuel (Boo) Dava and wife Joy, granddaughter Alexa Dava, grandson Keenan; Harold Dave and wife Monica, grandsons Blake Dava and Cameron Dava; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at a future date in Slidell, LA. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the Knights of Columbus Council 9132 Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 1729 Stop 330 Rd., Hendersonville, TN 37075 or Agape Hospice at PO Box 801087, Acworth, GA 30101.
