James Doyle Blalock Jr.

James Doyle Blalock Jr (known as Jim Blalock and called "Gippa" by his grandchildren), 65, of Gainesville Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021.

The funeral service will be held at 6pm on Thursday, January 21st at 150 Sawnee Dr. Cumming, GA 30040. Pastor Don Allen of The Church @ War Hill will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm and funeral arrangements are being held by McDonald & Son Funeral Home.

Jim Blalock was born in Roswell, GA on November 30, 1955 and he was married to Deanna Curtis.

Jim worked as an architectural salesman for PPG Porter Paints for 15+ years. He enjoyed camping & boating, square dancing, motorcycling in the mountains, as well as spending time with family. He was also actively involved in supporting his grandchildren's musical and sporting events.

Jim is survived by his former wife, Teresa Nolan and their children: his son James Blalock III, daughter Jennifer Adkins with her husband Lance Adkins and their children Kylie, Kensley, & Kayden, his daughter Jillian Blalock Boyd, his niece Stephanie Granado with her husband Andrew and their child Evie, and other family and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his father James Doyle Blalock Sr., his mother Bonnie Holland Blalock, and his wife Deanna Curtis Blalock.
