Inge Moy

–

Cumming, Georgia

Inge Moy (born December 25, 1936) passed peacefully into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on March 16, 2026. Inge was born into a hard life in World War II era Germany, circumstances which forged her strength and character. She was a survivor, and while she could be stubborn, tough and unyielding, so too could she be kind and generous with her modest possessions.

She was known as a hard worker and known for her love for her dogs and gardening. She truly had a green thumb and could cultivate nearly any flower, shrub or houseplant, with no formal training, merely trial and error and her trademark tenacity. She was also a skilled and prolific knitter, and delighted in knitting hats, scarves and blankets not only for friends and family, but also for strangers in need.

More than this, she was known for her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Inge is survived by her son Thomas (Phyllis), grandchildren Elizabeth (Joao), William (Anna) and great-granddaughter Arelyse Moy; granddaughter Sara Thorsby (Michael) and great-grandchildren Gavin, Gabriel, Josiah and Jovie.

She is also survived by son Joseph Rieck, daughter Karen Girmus (Albert), granddaughter Rachel Murphy (Scott), great-granddaughters Eden and Elora, and daughter Linda Clød-Svensson (Erik).

Donations, if you feel so moved, may be made in her memory to your local animal shelter.
