Hoyt Gene Cantrell

Mr. Hoyt Gene Cantrell age 90 of Dahlonega passed away on November 5, 2022. Mr. Cantrell retired from Lumpkin County where he worked as a mechanic. He also spent his life as a farmer. Hoyt was member of Church of God in Dahlonega, and a faithful participant of "Mercy Monday's". He enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.

Mr. Cantrell is preceded by his parents; George and Dora (Gilland) Cantrell, his siblings; Robert Lee, Junior, Tom, Travis, Kat (Kathleen) Littlejohn, Nellie Gahagan, Daisey Bafile, and Sue O'Hanlon; great grandchildren, Roxanna Aders & Christian Witcher; as well as his loving wife Bessie Cantrell.

Hoyt is survived by his son, Clarence (Patsy) Cantrell; daughter, Deborah (Melvin) Anderson; grandchildren, Stacie (Rodney) Waters, Christina (Robert) Cox, Shawn (Robin) Wells, Kenny (Candace) Wells, Whitney (Jamie) White; great-grandchildren, Stacia (Brent) Pierce, Cody (Holly) Witcher, Clay (Hope) Witcher, Derek Cox, Ethan Cox, Michael Rider, Colton (Ashley) Wells, Dalton Wells, Dustin Wells, Brenleigh White, Bennett White, Kolby Waters; great-great-grandchildren, Lexi Pierce, Summer Pierce, Wyatt Wells; Blakely Witcher, and Tucker Clarence Witcher.

Mr. Cantrell will be greatly missed.

Family will receive friends on Monday November 7, 2022 from 4pm until 8pm, and on Tuesday November 8, 2022 from 10am until 1pm. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm in the Chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.
