Hermine Portschy

With profound sorrow, we announce that Hermine Johanna Portschy ("Mina") , a beloved mother, grandmother, and beacon of love and strength, passed away on October 31, 2023. Mina was born on March 30, 1929, in Austria, to her late parents Johann and Teresa Arthofer.
Mina is survived by her loving children, John Portschy (and wife, Sharon), Brigitte Klein (and husband, Ira); her beloved grandchildren, Stephanie Megan Parker (and husband, Graham), Joshua Portschy, and Taylor Portschy (and wife, Hannah). Mina was predeceased by her loving husband, John Portschy, with whom she spent 49 wonderful years. In addition to time with her family as mother and "Oma", Mina loved giving back to her community, including time teaching aerobics at the local senior center, volunteering at the local hospital, and spending time with her Red Hats and church friends.

Services to honor Mina's life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia, 30040. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, and the funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm.
