Henry Marion Rainey

Henry Marion Rainey, 88, recently of Cumming, GA and long time resident of Conyers, GA, passed away on February 18, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Laurene Rainey and son, Wayne Rainey. Henry Rainey was a World War II veteran where he served on the European Front. He retired from the CDC. He also worked with his uncle s company building roads across the SE in the late 1940 s and 1950 s. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Pat Rainey of Dacula, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Debbie Rainey of Cumming, GA; granddaughters, Angie Little, Melissa Rainey and Brie Briscoe; great-grandchildren, ChrisAnne, Zach and Avery Little; sister, Peggy Joyce Speake of Decatur, AL; several nieces, nephews and cousins in Alabama and Georgia. The family will welcome friends at a memorial celebration from 2:00 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2010 in the reception hall of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Graveside memorial service and interment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, AL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Philadelphia United Methodist Church, Pavilion Fund, 2194 West Hightower Trail, Conyers, GA 30012.
