Helen Dempsey

Helen Hooks Dempsey, age 96, peacefully passed away January 24,2024 at home in Cumming, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward C. and Selma Hooks, her husband Harry A. Dempsey and her sons, David C. and Steve A. Dempsey. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Kaye Dempsey, her grandchildren, David and Amy Dempsey of Alpharetta, Jonathan and Joy Dempsey of Canton, and her great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Sarah, Julia, Jacob, Jordan, Harrison and Weslyn.

Helen's Celebration of Life service will be held at the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3rd, at 12:00 p.m. The family's graveside service at Crest Lawn Memorial Park will be held at a later date.

Helen's husband and both sons died from cancer, she was a cancer survivor herself, so In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you honor her memory by donating to the American Cancer Society.
