Heather James

–

Cumming, Georgia

Heather James (Stevenson) was born on February 27th, 1977, and went to be with the Lord on March 30th, 2024, at the age of 47, after an extensive battle with heart failure.

She was born in Ft. Ord, CA, to Charles (Chuck) Stevenson and Debra Stevenson. She loved cheerleading and track and was Homecoming Queen, graduating with a dual diploma in 1995– as part of the first graduating class of North High School.

Heather's life was her three daughters, Jolie, Kaydence and Emmerson. Heather was also blessed with many, many lifelong friends. Two very special friends, who Heather referred to as her sisters, are Tiffany Hill and Amy Major, both of which were with her during this final journey to be with the Lord (and Paul).

Heather was a crafter and party planner extraordinaire, and she loved to talk- about her girls, about life, and about her relationship with God. She was passionate about teaching the James Girls to live a life of gratitude and to love each other well. Heather was bold and hilarious, yet gentle and kind, and she never met a stranger.

Heather was preceded in death by her spouse, Paul Ray James (Paul passed away suddenly when the girls were 5, 3 and 5 months). Paul had a very successful pool servicing business in Ft. Worth, TX, and Heather was a stay-at-home mom. After Paul's passing Heather returned to Cumming to raise the girls.

She is survived by her daughters Jolie James, Kaydence James and Emmerson James. She is also survived by both parents - Chuck Stevenson (Lora) and Debbie Benson (Mike),

A visitation and Celebration of Life service is planned for Saturday, April 6th, from 10am to 12 noon at Freedom Tabernacle, on Freedom Parkway, Cumming, GA.
