Harry Richard Schofield, 84, of Gainesville, GA passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010 at North East Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA. He was born in Miami, FL and had lived in Forsyth County for the past 26 years. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and the US Airforce reserves. Mr. Schofield retired from WESCO after 33 years. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Phyllis Schofield of Gainesville, GA; children, Ruth (Daniel) Hill of Cumming, GA, Thomas (Judy) Schofield of Keystone Heights, FL, Bob (Sharon) Schofield of Tampa, FL, Susan (Chuck) Roberts of Dahlonega, GA, Steve (Susan) Schofield of Flowery Branch, GA, John (Carren) Schofield of Kings Mountain, KY; brother, Thomas Frank Schofield of Chiefland, FL.; sister Beverly McEwen of Gainesville, FL; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Shad Faulkner officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 5:00 8:00 p.m. at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, Cumming, GA. Interment will follow the funeral service at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
