Harriet Holland

–

Cumming, Georgia

In Loving Memory of Harriet Feuer Holland

Harriet Feuer Holland, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and warmth. Born on June 10, 1944, to Albert and Sylvia Feuer in the Bronx, NY, Harriet spent her early years in Shaker Heights, OH, before making Atlanta, GA, and eventually Cumming, GA, her home.

Harriet’s passion for education and service was evident early in her life. She played a vital role in helping to establish the first Head Start school in the United States in Washington, D.C., ensuring that young children had access to quality early education. Later, she transitioned into the banking industry, where she dedicated 25 years of her career, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

In 1983, Harriet met and married the love of her life, Keith E. Holland. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. For 42 years, their bond remained strong as they made lasting memories in Cumming, GA. Harriet embraced life with enthusiasm and was always on the go—walking her beloved dog, Oreo, enjoying a round of golf, staying active with yoga and Pilates, and playing Mah Jongg with friends.

Her generous spirit extended beyond her personal passions. She dedicated 13 years to serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children, giving a voice to those who needed it most. She was also an active member of the Forsyth County Women’s Club, always finding ways to uplift and support those around her.

Though Harriet never had children of her own, she was an extraordinary aunt, pouring her heart into her family. She took joy in teaching family recipes, planning special outings, and making every visit meaningful. Her love and devotion to family were evident in every moment shared.

Harriet is survived by her devoted husband, Keith E. Holland, her sister Phyllis Ryan (William), nieces Kimberly (Eric), Katherine Bresky and their children & grandchildren. She also left behind her sister-in-law Pamela Morris, nephew Keith Miessau (Monica) and their children and grandchildren, niece Bonnie Cooper and her child and grandchild.

Harriett was a kind-hearted, thoughtful, and friendly soul who brought light to everyone she met. Her presence was a gift, and she was loved by all who knew her. While she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Kidney Fund.

Harriet, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
