Harold Todd

"Harold Frederick Todd was born in Atlanta, GA on October 30, 1929, to Edith Lucille Swink Todd and Harold Felton Todd. After finishing school, Harold married Joan Elizabeth Stalnaker Todd, also of Atlanta, on September 24, 1949, in Atlanta, GA, where they continued to reside.

Harold trained as a Type Setter and Printer under his Father-In-Law, John M. Stalnaker, at the Atlanta Journal and Constitution in Atlanta before going to work in the Printing Department at Georgia Power, where he worked until he retired in 1989.

After the birth of their three children, Cheri, Melanie, and Bryan, they moved to Cumming, GA in 1971, where they were active members of Cumming Baptist Church, where Harold served as an ordained Deacon. Harold loved to Trout Fish in the North Georgia mountains, and it brought him great joy to teach his children and grandsons how to fish.

Harold was proceeded in death by his beloved Joan after 72 years of marriage. He is survived by his daughter, Cheri Shattles (and Neil) of Winder, GA, Melanie Todd of Lawrenceville, GA, Bryan Todd of Cumming, GA, his grandson Kyle Shattles (and Anna) of Cumming, GA, Brendan Shattles (and Sandy) of Huntersville, NC, and his three great grandchildren, Sydney, Conrad, and Kennedy Shattles."
