Gregory Russell Maddox

Gregory (Greg) Russell Maddox met Jesus, his Lord and Savior on June 28, 2023.

He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and lived in Conyers, Georgia until 2016, when he moved to Alpharetta. He was preceded in death by his father, Riley Harrison (R.H.) and mother, Emily Aileen.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Henrietta Mims; and his children: daughter, Angie Mitchell (her husband Tony), and son, Andrew (his wife Cheri); grandchildren, Ansley Hudgins (her husband Connor), Luke Mitchell, and Logan and Emmy Maddox.

Greg was retired from Lithonia Lighting where he worked for 28 years. He enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Greg loved to stay connected with friends and family through phone calls. He was a loving husband and father.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1st, 2023, from 11:00am - 12:00pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 1st, 2023, at 12:00pm in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Maddox will be laid to rest on a later date at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
