Gertrude Dunham

Gertrude Dunham, fondly known as Trudi, went home to her Lord and Savior on 9/4/12. She is survived by her son Jim, his wife, Suzanne from Cartersville, GA, her daughter Jeanne from Cumming, and her granddaughter Candice Elders from Michigan. Trudi was born in 1914 in Mead, Nebraska; one of four children of a Swedish Covenant minister. She lived most of her life in Park Ridge, Illinois and was executive assistant many years at South Park Church, after her husband, Erling died in 1964. The past 14 years she lived at the Highland Manor, formerly Good Shepherd Place in Cumming. Besides her love for people and cheerful optimism, Trudi was best known as an artist. She was doing professional quality watercolors and selling paintings into her 90 s, and will be missed by many who had the privilege of calling her friend and family.
