Gerald Mark Zilske

Gerald M Zilske, age 72, of Milton, GA and formerly of Stamford, CT, the beloved husband of Sarah Dolan Zilske passed away Monday, December 10, 2018. Born in Stamford, CT to the late Arthur and Helen Zilske, he was a graduate of Stamford High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran during Vietnam War. Jerry worked for General Electric Credit Corporation, Marine Management Systems and finally Star Shipping Inc. with more than 30 years of service as an EDI manager.
He started his career in the very early days of the computer programming industry and loved his work; Jerry enjoyed sailing, racing motorcycles and playing chess, but most of all loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his two sons and their wives, Michael and Katie Zilske of Cumming, Daniel and Brittany Zilske of Cumming and one sister Margaret Zilske of Roswell. He will be dearly missed by his four grandchildren, Clay, Dylan, Gracen and Emilia as well as many devoted nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in law. A memorial will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory in Cumming, GA on Sunday December 16th, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made be made to St. Jude's Hospital or The Wounded Warriors Foundation.
