Georgiannah Mixon (Whitten) McBrayer Obituary (2023)

Georgiannah McBrayer, age 76, passed away on Sunday, February 26th, 2023. Georgiannah, of Atlanta, was born to the late Robert Whitten and Hughnetta Smith Whitten. Georgiannah is survived by her daughter, Magnolia (Michael), and 4 grandchildren, Angel, Luke, Autumn, and Jacob. Georgiannah was a faith-filled warrior for Jesus, and she absolutely adored and cherished her church and church family. She loved traveling whenever possible, especially to the mountains of North Georgia. Her Cherokee Nation heritage was a prominent part of her life, home, and daily conversations. Georgiannah was proud of her dancing days and would share stories of her dancing with all of the great artists of the 50's, 60's, and 70's. She won national dancing championships throughout her career. She will truly be missed, but everyone knows she is now happier than ever- dancing with her savior! We will be having a Celebration of Life at City on a Hill Church in Cumming, Georgia on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 3:00pm.
