George Arthur Potter

George Arthur Potter, 69, of Cumming, GA passed away on December 19, 2010 at his residence. Born in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Clarissa Potter, and stepson Michael Alan Becker. Mr. Potter was a member of Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church in Cumming, GA. He was an avid collector of model trains and shared his passion with fellow collectors. He was retired from AT&T where he worked in data security. He is survived by his wife, Janice Potter of Cumming, GA; son, Christopher Alan (Colleen) Potter of CO; daughter, Georgia Potter of CO; son, Ken Potter of CA; daughter, Kathy (David) Lozada of MT; daughter, Karen (Willis) Weber of CO; stepson, William Steele (Belinda) Becker of OK; sister, Virginia (David) Hewitt of NY; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 7 step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at McDonald & Son Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a visitation from 1:00 4:00 pm the day of the service. Rev. John S. Martin will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Potter s name to Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church, 7620 Lanier Dr., Cumming, GA, 30041.
