George Hafner

George Hafner, 69, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on April 19, 2025.

George was born on October 3, 1955, in Hammond, Indiana. A proud graduate of Lewis University, he built a successful career in lumber sales before retiring to enjoy his passions - Georgia football, duck hunting, fishing, baseball, golf, and firing up the grill for family cook-outs. Ever the avid outdoorsman, George could often be found casting a line at dawn or cheering on his beloved Dawgs amid good company and great food.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Erika; his father, Thaddeus; and his sister, Christine.

He is survived by his loving wife, Genie Hafner; daughter Heather Harris and her husband Clint Harris; son Grant Hafner and his wife Lauren Hafner; his grandchildren Savannah, Scarlett, River, Reese, Evyn and Grayton; and his faithful canine companion, Hazel.
