Gary Greaves

Gary Raymond Greaves passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024, in Dahlonega, Georgia, from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Gary was born June 10, 1942, to David and Frieda Greaves in Glendale, California. He joined his older brother, Richard, and soon was going on family trips to Mammoth Lakes and learning to fish. Following high school, Gary served in the US Army in Germany, and returned to complete his education at San Jose State University. He later received his MBA from Michigan State University. Gary found a career focus in working for independent dairies, helping them to become more productive and efficient. He retained his love of ice cream for his whole life. Gary also enjoyed vintage cars, western movies, and watching football. In his last years, Gary was lovingly cared for by his nieces, Sherry Greaves and Stephany Zaic. Gary is survived by his younger brother, Robert Greaves, his nieces, Sherry and Stephany, and his nephew, Kevin Duffy-Greaves.

The family appreciates the care Gary received at Dahlonega Assisted Living and Caritas Hospice. Gary will be buried at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
