Garrett Mitchell

Garrett Finley Mitchell 31, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Garrett was a 2005 Graduate of North Forsyth High School and went on the earn an Associate's Degree at Lanier Technical College.

Garrett worked in the schools of Forsyth County as Technology Contractor for many years and most recently served at the Humane Society of Forsyth County as a Veterinary Assistant.

Garrett is survived by his parents Bailey and Lee Mitchell of Cumming, Georgia. Grandparents Bailey Mitchell (Cindy) of Watkinsville, Georgia, and Laura Pennington (John) of Marietta, Georgia. Garrett is also survived by his Aunt Melissa Bachman (Billy) of Atlanta, Georgia.

Garrett was a skilled mechanic and could fix anything that involved a vehicle, computer or network. His love was for his two black cats, Ninja, an affectionate Siamese and Sumu, a spunky Maine Coon Cat who were returned to the care of the Humane Society to find a new home.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19 from 5 to 7 PM with a memorial service following at 7 PM in the Chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory.
