Evelyne Kaufman Jones

Evelyne Kaufman Jones, 88, a long-time resident of Atlanta passed away in Dahlonega, GA on Thursday, February 20. Evelyne was born in Tallahassee, FL to Herbert and Emily Kaufman. She had a sister, Rose, and a brother, Herbert, both of whom predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Wallace Jones. Evelyne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Debbie Jones of Westminster, MD, her daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Bill Lach of Dahlonega, GA, and her grandchildren Jessica Jones, Dylan Jones, and Zachary Lach. Evelyne worked as a librarian for the Yerkes National Primate Research Center until her retirement, she loved to travel, and she was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Decatur. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 515 E. Ponce De Leon Ave. Decatur GA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Trinity.
