Evanne Clore Sarfaty

–

Cumming, Georgia

Evanne Clore was born along with her twin sister Cara on October 21, 1939 at the old Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She spent her childhood years in the Jackson area, before graduating from Mississippi College in Clinton and earning her Master's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.

In 1968, she picked up and moved to Atlanta, where she worked as a dietician, at a number of schools in the metro area. Later that year, she met the love of her life, and she would go on to marry Mack Sarfaty on April 4, 1969. At the end of 1969, the couple's only child, Jack, was born, and Evanne would begin her life's calling of raising her son while being a doting, loving mother and wife.

In 2005, Evanne's life would take another turn as Mack fell and became permanently disabled. He would be bedridden and homebound for the better part of decade. She stayed by his side and cared for him until his passing in 2016.

Evanne would spend the remainder of her days in Cumming, Georgia, living near her son and his family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Frances Clore, and her sister Cara Gibbs. She is survived by her son, Jack Sarfaty, along with her daughter-in-law Kim, and grandchildren Katie, Matthew, and Michael Sarfaty.

Special gratitude to the Oaks at Hampton and to the amazing souls Cumming Health and Rehab for providing unending attention, care, and love for Evanne for the past six years.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 14 at 9:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery where Evanne will be laid to rest next to her husband. The family would like to invite all who attend to join them for breakfast at the New Georgian Hills restaurant at 69 Waleska Street in Canton to celebrate Evanne's life.
