Esther Dunn

Esther A. Dunn, 96 of Cumming, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024.

Esther was one of the strongest most courageous women and our family was blessed to have her as the patriarch of the family. She was born in Meadville, PA on April 8, 1928. Prior to graduating from High School, she helped run the family restaurant in Meadville then earned a Business Degree with honors in Cleveland, OH. Esther returned to Meadville where she obtained a PPL (Private Pilot License). In 1950 Esther married Gaylord F. Picard and together they owned and operated L.L. Lord Plumbing and Heating. Esther and Gaylord had 5 children. Esther went on to work in the insurance industry but strived to be at home with her children as much as possible during their formative years. Esther divorced in 1964 and in 1977 married George T. Dunn and was married for 25 years until his passing in 2002. She loved her family, dancing, creating art and traveling. For those that new her well, she aspired to improve their lives with her love and words of wisdom.
We will never be able to fill the space she has left behind.

Esther is survived by 3 children, Gaylord Picard, Christine Stallard and Elisa Picard, 10 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents Peter and Kalimera Alexatos, husband George Dunn, daughter Michele Hazen, son Layne L. Picard, three brothers, Edward, Micheal and Louis Alexatos and sister Athena Alexatos.
