Ernestine "Tina" Nix Davis

Ernestine Nix Davis ( Tina ), 88, a resident of Gracemont Assisted Living met her mighty Savior on January 14th, 2015. She was born on May 5th, 1926 to Ernest and Willie Jo Nix, both deceased. Tina married her sweetheart, Bill on June 7th, 1947. And they had a very full 65 years together. Bill met his Savior on July 2, 2012. Since then, Tina has lived at Gracemont Assisted Living in Forsyth County and had many friends there. Tina was quite the woman. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Tina always brought the fun by telling a great story or a joke. The best description for her is found in the Bible, Proverbs 31:10-31. Tina is survived by her sister, Norma Hendricks; son, Bill Davis III and wife, Rita; two daughters, Janice Byrd and husband Joe; and Tavie Buhl and husband, Edd; seven grandchildren, Brett, Rachael, Blake, Matthew, Lydia, James, and Joseph; three great-grandchildren, Finn, Selah Grace, and Kennedy Rae; a niece, three nephews, and many sweet friends. McDonald & Son Funeral Home is handling cremation and there will be a small Memorial Service at Gracemont Assisted Living on Monday, January 19th, 2015 at 11:00 am.
