Erik Miller

–

Alpharetta, Georgia

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the passing of a truly remarkable individual, whose laughter and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of all who knew him. Erik Paul Miller, age 52, unexpectedly passed away the morning of Sunday, November 5th, 2023, at home in Milton, Georgia. Erik was born on May 17th, 1971, in La Mesa, California, the son of Carole (Tiihonen) Miller (mother) and Robert Miller (father). Living in Danville, CA, Barrington Hills, IL and Alpharetta, GA, Erik grew up with his younger brother, Troy, embarking on many adventures that included the love of playing soccer, taking family ski trips, boating and learning to drive fast cars, which Erik had established a true passion for by the time he graduated from Milton High School in 1989 and headed to Georgia Southern University. Erik’s zest for adventure continued after college… whether growing in his sales career or working in the restaurant industry, where he learned to become an amazing chef himself, or spending time with friends and family, Erik’s genuine interest in others, had a way of making everyone feel valued and loved. One of Erik’s most proud adventures was becoming a father and learning to raise his son, Parker. During this journey, Erik soon met the love of his life and partner, Molly Griffin, and they married on January 23, 2017. Erik became sales manager and certified arborist with AAA Tree Experts, where they worked together and built a beautiful, loving home together in Milton. Erik’s love for life was evident in his many passions and hobbies. He loved to travel, go to a game, a car show or a great restaurant, but above all, Erik cherished his relationships. He was a devoted friend, a loving partner, father, and family member. His presence brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to be part of his life. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we can find solace in the memories we shared with Erik. His spirit will forever live on in our hearts, reminding us to approach life with the same love, kindness, and zest for adventure that he embodied. May we carry Erik’s spirit always, cherishing the memories we shared and embracing the joy that he brought into our lives.

Erik is survived by his wife Molly (Griffin) Miller; his son Parker Miller; his mother Carole (Tiihonen) Miller; his father Robert Miller; his brother Troy Miller; his mother-in-law Susan Griffin; his sisters-in-law Susanne Griffin and Katie (Griffin) Finke; his cousin Tracey Aaron; his nieces and nephews; his loving fur babies Zoey, Jinx, Mindy and a number of other relatives, and close friends.

Please join the family for visitation Friday, November 10th, 1pm-3pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia 30040, followed by a celebration service led by John Fisher, Clergyman.
