Elsie Bailey, age 94, passed away on

Everyone called her Gram. Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1924, she was feisty throughout her life. She boldly moved her three young sons to Tampa, Florida in the early fifties for opportunities not available in rural Maine. Gram was a perennial gardener, a crochetere, a crossword aficionado, and avid reader, a quilter, a ruthless scrabble player and a birdhouse maker. Always outspoken, she lived alone until failing health reluctantly and loudly resists moving to assisted living. There she ruled as the grand dame and oldest resident. Gram left two husbands, three sons, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
