Elizabeth Brice Surtees

Elizabeth Brice Surtees, of Cumming, GA, died on June 5, 2011 of complications of ALS disease. Born in Massachusetts in 1936, Betty lived a full life and appreciated the TLC she received during her illness from family, friends, neighbors, the good people with Home Instead, Hospice, and the gentle and knowledgeable folks at Emory ALS Clinic. Betty was a lifelong member of Girl Scouts USA and Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity for Women. She is survived by her husband Robert Surtees, sister Cynthia in Florida, daughter Kim, son Joe (Nancy), in Maine, three granddaughters, Karly, Jodie and Mindy, and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Betty's life will be held from 1:00 3:00 pm on Saturday June 18, 2011 in the Reception Hall of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
