Elizabeth Somers Bartow

Elizabeth Somers Bartow, 86, of Cumming, GA died on October, 30, 2013. Born in St. Albens, NY, she was preceded in death by her parents David and Elizabeth Somers and brothers, David Somers and Harold Somers. Elizabeth was a loving mother of eight children. She will be greatly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was a lifelong Episcopalian. She was a contemporary woman who loved current events, the Arts, Music and her beloved dogs. She loved the latest music trends and loved to dance with her children. She never met a stranger and shared advice and wisdom with all those she met. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles William Bartow of Cumming, GA; children, Bruce Bartow of Hilton Head, SC, Brenda Spence of Alpharetta, GA, Debra (Victor) Hayes of St. Simons Island, GA, Diane (David) Kenmore of Lilburn, GA, Susan Kovitch of Albuquerque, NM, Robert (Meredith) Bartow of Marietta, GA, Laura (Kent) Tuttle of Cumming, GA and David Bartow of Johns Creek, GA; ; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Gilbert Somers of VA and Ronald Somers of NY. Also her faithful caregiver Ms. De Salter of Cumming, GA. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Cumming, GA. The Rev. Keith Oglesby will officiate. Inurnment will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Georgia National Cemetery at 10:00 am.
