Donald H Young

Donald Harry Young, 60, of Cumming, GA, passed away peacefully at the Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 11th, 2017. Born in Atlanta, GA to Thomas Harry and Mary Lou Young. He lived most of his life in Cumming, Georgia.

Donald was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to all. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and Bible study. His main purpose in life was to glorify God and bring people to Christ. Donald was extremely loving and proud of his wife and best friend of 38 years, Deanne Young, originally from Columbus Ohio, and his four sons; Alex Young and his wife Melissa and 3 grandchildren Jeremiah, Sarah, and Rachel, of Perry, GA; Brett Young and his wife PhuongNhung, of Memphis, TN; Andrew Young and his wife Barbara L. of San Mateo, CA; Cody Hinson-Young at Corpus Christi, TX. Donald is also survived by his brother Ricky Young and his wife Barbara, who resides in Douglasville, GA, as well as his many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other friends.

The family will receive friends and family on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 6 until 9 PM and the Service on Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Dr., Cumming, GA 30040. Donald will be laid to rest at the Sawnee View Memorial Garden in Cumming, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the chosenpeople.com and/or firstliberty.org to help Donald reach his goal of bringing people to Christ.
