Dolores E. Leisge

Dolores E. Leisge, age 89 passed away peacefully on July 8, 2023. She was born April 2, 1934 in Hammond IN to Dave & Dorothy Sutton. She graduated from George Rogers Clark HS 1952. After HS she attended a floral design school in Chicago, IL commuting back and forth on the South Shore train. She married John Leisge on Jan 15, 1955. She worked as a florist and was the owner Open House Florist in Hammond IN. Dolores was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and St Paul's Lutheran Church while in Hammond and later at Faith Lutheran Church in Demotte, IN. John And Dolores moved to Georgia in 2017. They loved taking road trips with each other to visit family and friends. Dolores was proceeded in death by her parents, and her husband, John back in Jan of this yr. She is survived by her 3 sons John (Debbie), James, Jason (Justine); Granddaughters Abby, Emily & Dahlia and five great grandchildren, and her brother Dave (Lois) Sutton. Dolores will be buried with her husband in the Georgia National Veterans Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer's Association.

A visitation will be held at McDonald and Son on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 4:00PM-6:00PM. An interment will follow on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 11:30AM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
