Dolores M. "Dee" Darling

Dolores M. Dee Darling of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on April 26, 2012 after a long & courageous battle with cancer. Dee was born April 14, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Margaret Higgins; and sister, Maureen Higgins. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Karl) Ryder of Flowery Branch; son, Dr. James (Patti) Darling of Acworth, GA; son, Mitch (Phyllis) Darling of Acworth, GA; son, David (Jennifer) Darling of Suwanee, GA; sister, Valerie (Bill) Edwards of Canton, GA; sister, Dr. and Mrs. Adrienne (Ron) Dodson of Hilton Head, SC; sister, Aurelie (Bob) Bailey of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Sydney, Abby, Madison, Ashley, Jordan, Alex, Connor, Kayley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She moved early to Miami, FL where she grew up eventually moving to Marietta, GA in 1969. Dee was a gifted person in many ways. She had a successful career in the Relocation Industry in sales, won many performance awards, & was the top sales performer for her company for several years in a row. She loved to garden, especially with roses. She had a flair & talent for cooking, fashion, decorating & color. She loved to travel & explore new places. Among her most treasured accomplishments were her children & grandchildren. While she loved her kids, it was her grandkids that she adored. They were the light of her life. Funeral Services to celebrate Dee s life will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, April 29, 2012 in the McDonald & Son Chapel. Visitation will be held from 2:00 3:30 PM the day of the service.
