Delcie Ray

Delcie Rae Iwen, born November 21, 1941, in Wolf Point, Montana, passed away on February 16, 2025, in Cumming, Georgia, surrounded by her children. She was married to Jimmy Merle Ray on December 7, 1962, who preceded her in death in 2006.

Delcie is survived by her five children: Jeannine Perrault (Jim), AnJeannette Thompson (Tim), Jimmy (Stacee), Mark, and Dawn Hayes (Eric); 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.

Delcie dedicated 30 years of her life to the aerospace industry in Palmdale, California. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was holding her new great-grandbabies. She made it a priority to attend every important event in the lives of her children and grandchildren, and she felt blessed to support her grandchildren financially while they served missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her biggest regret was not being able to see her youngest granddaughter, Bailey, graduate from high school and serve a mission. One of her final acts of love was learning how to use Venmo to send Christmas gifts to all of her grandchildren.

Delcie had a love for shopping, shoes, spending time with her family, and dining out. She cherished her extended family, and it was especially difficult for her to be the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In her later years, Delcie found peace and joy in the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, particularly the knowledge of the restored gospel and the promise of eternal families.

A funeral service will be held on February 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3185 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming, Georgia.
