Deborah Doughty

Deborah Ann Doughty, also known as Deborah Cohen-Panter, of Dahlonega, Ga, passed away on her 62nd birthday, January 23, 2024. She was born on January 23, 1962 in Miami, FL to Harry and Helen Cohen. Before her illness, Deborah had a special place in her heart for the Lumpkin Senior Center, where she enjoyed visiting daily with her friends.

Deborah is survived by her daughter, Ashley Coker (Scott), her mother Helen Cohen, her sister Julie Miner (Don), her niece Hannah Miner, her nephew Ethan Miner, her honorary daughter Julianne Abernathy, and her beloved grandchildren Grayson and Wyatt Coker. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Cohen.

Deborahs family would like to thank the nurses and everyone who helped care for her at Bell Minor Homes in Gainesville, Ga. They couldn't have asked for a better staff to care for her the last 3 years of her life.

A memorial visitation will be held in her honor on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 4:00 pm at the Dahlonega Funeral Home, 20 Gibson Road, Dahlonega, Ga, 30533. The memorial service will follow at the same location at 6:00 pm.
