Deanna Leis

–

Gainesville, Georgia

With a heart full of love and admiration, we remember the life of Deanna Kay Leis, born on March 23, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, who left us on November 25, 2023, while residing in Gainesville, Georgia. As a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Deanna touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Deanna was a steadfast woman of God and a proud member of the First Redeemer Baptist Church. She embodied the Christian virtue of love, living by the words of 1 Corinthians 13:7, "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." Her life was a testament to this verse, as she bravely and lovingly navigated the trials and tribulations of life. Deanna, a dedicated housewife, created a loving and nurturing home, filled with faith and laughter.

Deanna was the cherished daughter of the late Don and Paulene Thomas. She was married to her devoted husband of 58 years, Craig Leis, who survives her today. She was the loving grandmother of Douglas Lyle, who brought immense joy and happiness into her life. Deanna was also the beloved mother of her late daughter, Fawn Lyle, whom she remembered with great love and affection.

In the spirit of Deanna's life, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. This event will honor her unique qualities and accomplishments, and the immense love she had for her family and her faith.

We invite you to share your fondest memories and photographs of Deanna on her memorial page. Your stories and pictures will help us all remember the beautiful life she led and the incredible woman she was.
