David Brian Quinn

David B. Quinn, 53, of Flowery Branch, GA died suddenly on April 24, 2010. Born in Johnstown, PA he was the son of Dr. John (Evelyn) Quinn of Indian Lake, PA and Vivien (Thaddeus) Urban of Middletown, DE. David worked at New Florence #2 Mine and was a member of the UMWA for 17 years. He also worked in the drilling and blasting business in the Atlanta area for 10 years. He enjoyed camping and had a passion for NASCAR racing. He also bred Corgis for a number of years. A loving son, husband, father and friend, he will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife Gloria Korlewitz Quinn of Flowery Branch, GA; daughters, Carylle (Scott) Leonard of Mary Esther, FL and Marisa (Arturo) Mancilla of Oakwood, GA; brother, John (Marsha) Quinn of Norwich, CT; sisters, Mary Ann Quinn of Easton, MD, Robin Quinn of Los Angeles, CA, Joy Quinn of Fairfax, VA, Jillian Quinn of Pittsburgh, PA and Jane Quinn of MT; and numerous extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 30, 2010 in the chapel of the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home in New Florence, PA. Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery in Johnstown, PA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 2:00 4:00 pm and from 7:00 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
