David Joseph Evans, Jr. January 30, 1954 - October 17, 2018 David J. Evans, Jr., age 64, of Cumming, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018. He was born in Atlanta, GA on January 30, 1954. His career in banking began at C&S National Bank in 1978 and continued for forty years. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife of 42 years, Velinda Moore Evans; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Coy (III) Yonce of Brookings, SD; son and daughter-in-law David (III) and Jamie Evans of Canton, GA; son Jason Evans of Athens, GA; sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Todd Loyet of Cumming, GA; brother and sister-in-law Danny and Gina Evans of Cumming, GA; father David J. Evans, Sr. of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Audrey, Catherine, and Coy (IV) Yonce and Charlotte Rae Evans. He is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Frazier Evans and grandchildren, Austin Nicole Evans and Cash Parker Evans. Funeral service will be at 1pm, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in the Chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory with interment following in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 11 to 1 pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia 30040.
