Daniel William Webber
July 1, 1952 ~ September 7, 2021
Daniel William Webber, age 69, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, following a brief illness.
Dan was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 1, 1952, the second of eight children in the Webber family. He attended St. Patricia Catholic School, Amos Alonzo Stagg High School and Southern Illinois University.
He is preceded in death by parents Jack and Marge Webber, and brother Jackie Webber.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lynne Webber and daughter Kelsey Webber of Dahlonega, Georgia and siblings Terrence Webber (Cindi), Tim Webber (Donna), Rick Webber (Robin) and Judy Williams of Dahlonega, Georgia, Patrick Webber (Eileen) of Dunwoody, Georgia and Meg Webber of Lilburn, Georgia; nieces and nephews Timmy Webber, Jason Webber (Kelly), Shannon Webber, Brittany Webber, Laura Webber, David Webber, Gina Webber, John Webber, Maggie Williams, Izzy Webber, and Maria Webber. Since his father's death in 2006, Dan was the patriarch of the Webber family.
Dan was an active participant in St. Luke's Catholic Church in Dahlonega, Georgia acting as an usher and volunteering for St. Vincent De Paul and other charities. His great faith helped him beat cancer when he was a young man and set an example for others to emulate.
A skilled carpenter and mason, Dan worked building and renovating homes from North Georgia to Buckhead for the last 30 years. He was also an avid gardener and skilled landscaper. Dan could be seen "on the job" late into the evenings most days and took great pride in doing the best work he could for his loyal customers.
Dan loved to play golf and would sneak in a round whenever he had some rare free time. If he couldn't get to the links, he would play the short course that he designed around their home, letting his buddy Jake fetch golf balls for him.
Dan's great sense of humor was always on display and he was an absolute joy to be around. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
