God gifted Costy Pawlowski to us on October 3, 1948 at St. Peter's General Hospital in New Jersey. He returned to His creator and our Lord, Jesus Christ, on June 19, 2023.
He was predeceased by his twin brother, Stuart, at birth and his beloved parents, Mary Sabo Pawlowski from West Virginia and Peter Costy Pawlowski from South Liner, NJ. Growing up, he loved playing baseball. He was pitcher during the 1961 New Jersey Little League Baseball Championship and was being scouted by the major leagues in high school. He graduated from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1966 and volunteered and served his country with honor and valor in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of two bronze stars. He went on to pursue a career in education, serving as teacher, coach, and assistant principal at North Clayton Senior High in College Park, GA. He married his "bride," Dr. Betsy Horton, in 2005, and worked tirelessly to support her as she grew a successful medical practice in Fayetteville, GA. Costy is survived and missed so much by his wife, Betsy; his sister, Patricia Shuller; his mother in law, Jean Horton and father in law, Ronald Horton; his brothers and sisters in law: Ron and Deborah Horton, Cindie Horton and Mike Ratcliff, and Herschel and Dr. Melba Horton; his beloved nieces: Patricia Calhoun, Savannah Ratcliff, and Ellie-Jane Horton and nephews: Frank Shuller, Ron Horton, Ethan Horton, and Tyler Horton. He is also survived by so many friends, too many to list here, and is so thankful for every one!!
We will celebrate Costy's life on Sunday, June 25, at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, with visitation from 2P to 4P ET with a service following immediately thereafter in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
