Charles Monroe Yager

Charles Monroe Yager of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away December 3, 2010. He was born in McCrory, Ark., April 4, 1914, grew up in Baltimore, Md., and came to Florida from Dahlonega, Ga., where he had a distinguished career at North Georgia College, now North Georgia College and State University. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances King Yager; two daughters, Margaret Dufeny (Max) of Tampa and Virginia Baxley (Robert) of Birmingham, Ala.; four grandchildren, Mark Dufeny of Coral Gables, Fla., Charles Dufeny of Tampa, Julia Camp (John) of Birmingham and Frances Atighi (Maz) of Crown Point, New Mexico; and three great-grandchildren, Anabel Camp, Ben Camp and Owen Dufeny. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to LifePath Hospice or to The Scholarship Fund at Freedom Plaza in Sun City Center.
