Charles Edwin Wall

Charles Edwin Wall, Sr., 93, went home to be with his Savior and Lord, whom he loved and faithfully served, on April 23, 2018 in Statesville, NC.

He was born July 28, 1924 in Monroe, GA to Henry B. and Lottie (Alexander) Wall (both deceased). He was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Edith Mae (Rollan) Wall; brothers H.B. and Sid; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Wall.

Charles was a veteran of WWII having served in the Pacific theatre.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Wall) Richards and husband Peter; son, Charles (Chuck) E. Wall, Jr. and wife Denise; grandchildren, Chris (Kelly) Giles, Douglas (Lyndsey) Giles, Sharon (Rowe) Palmer, Jennifer (Jonathan) Long, Michael (Heather) Wall, Kyle (Nikki) Wall, Phillip Wall and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 27 from 6:30-8:00 at McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. A service of celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 2:00 at Community Bible Church, 2390 Buford Hwy, Cumming, GA 30041. Rev. Jeff Garner and Rev. Charles E. Wall, Jr. will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family would like to thank the Gordon Hospice House of Statesville, NC for their loving and compassionate care of our dad and grandfather during his last days.
