Charles Wayne Hickman, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on December 25, 2022, at the age

of 84 after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Roy Clayton Hickman and Stella Crigger

Hickman of Aiken, SC.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jenelle Williams

Hickman, and siblings Barbara Brewer and Ed Mason.

Born in Middlesboro, KY, he moved to Aiken, SC as a teenager and settled in the Atlanta area

Dunford, and Tony (Angie) Hickman; his grandchildren and spouses: Rob (Tina) Stubbs, Scott

Daddy, Dad, and later, Grandpa, Papa and Pops. He would answer to any of them. He had a gift

for storytelling and never forgot a punchline when telling a joke. He loved sports and was a high

school football star. As his son was growing up he became a much loved coach for little-league

baseball and football.

Besides loving his family, his favorite things were sports, cold beer and fried shrimp.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
