Catherine Pearlee Gurley

Mrs. Catherine Pearlee Gurley, age 90 of Sautee. Mrs. Gurley passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 5, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dave Fortner, Rev. George Fortner and the Rev. Joe Vernon officiating, interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery
Mrs. Gurley was born in White County on march 28, 1920 to Jasper Herbert "Hub" Adams and Odie York Adams. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Union Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gurley is preceded in death by her sisters, Louvine A. Fain, Birdie A.Vandiver and Pauline A. Sims as well as brothers Arnold Adams, Paul Adams and Coleman Adams.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Clarence Gurley, Sautee; daughter and son in law, Ann & Dean Nix, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Grady & Sandy Gurley, Buford; brothers and sisters in law, Buford and Inell Adams, Cleveland; Verner and Evie Adams, Sautee; sister, Beulah Thompson, Lawrenceville as well as 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews
Flowers will be acknowledged or memorial donations may be made to Union Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM
