Carole Clayton

–

Cumming, Georgia

Carole Bagwell Clayton entered the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 9, 2025, at the age of 78; as she left this life, Carole can best be remembered by how she devoted her life living her faith through loving others, especially children, grandchildren and family.

Carole is survived by her loving husband, Howard; daughter Fran (Kevin Houston); Daughter-in-Law, Tiffany Clayton; Granddaughters, Alli (David Loftin); Ansleigh (Kelsey Little); Michala (Michael Disterlic); and Katelyn Brooke; Great-Grandchildren, James Gregory Loftin & Evelyn Rose Loftin. She also leaves behind her brother, Ronnie Bagwell (Merry) and sister, Jan Garner (Larry) and their families, along with a multitude of other family and faith friends.

Carole was predeceased by her parents, George and Beth Bagwell, of Cumming, Georgia, and Son, Gregory Howard, of Keller, Texas, who, along with so many other beloved family members, were assuredly waiting for her at the gates of Heaven.

Carole always attended Church and unfailingly served in faith … she was either teaching children as a preschool director-teacher, working in the kitchen or doing whatever was needed. In fact, some of her last faith service was in the First Redeemer Church kitchen and with Hope for the Hungry helping to pack ministry food boxes.

Carole truly demonstrated the love of God, compassion and Hope in all areas of her life … some of her favorite scripture comes from John 14.1-6 where we are told to not let our hearts be troubled but to believe Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us … then, in Verse 6, where we are assured of Heaven through our faith in Jesus Christ … Carole truly believed!

Carole’s celebration of life was lived every day of her life … but, for friends and family, there will be a Celebration and Remembrance of her Life on August 23rd in the First Redeemer Student and Family Center beginning at 11:30 AM: First Redeemer Church is located at 2100 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, Ga.

There will be a friends and fellowship time with lunch nourishment provided starting at 11:30; Pastoral and speaker remarks will begin at 12:30 PM. Carole’s remains will be interred at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia, and, finally, instead of flowers, please consider your Church or a charity of your choice.
