Carol Mae Fitzgerald

Carol Mae Longworth Fitzgerald died peacefully at Milton Grace Senior Living Community on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Irwin and Dorothea Longworth; her brothers Dr. Thomas Longworth and Peter Longworth; and son, Kevin Fitzgerald.

Carol is survived by Robert (Bob) Fitzgerald, her husband of 66 years and their children Noreen (Russell) Boling; Tom (Mary) Fitzgerald; Kathleen Lloyd and Patricia Patrick; eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Carol was born and raised on Long Island, NY. Throughout their marriage, she and Bob lived in New York, New Jersey, Texas and settled in Georgia in 1985. She was a parishioner at Good Shepherd Catholic Church for over 30 years.

Carol will be lovingly remembered for her kind acts toward others. She enjoyed volunteering at Northside Hospital - Forsyth for almost twenty years. She initiated and organized the Orchards of Habersham Grove's annual toy drive for Aerial's House.

A funeral mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at noon. In lieu of flowers, Carol wished for donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
