Buford Hill

Buford Hill, 93, of Cumming, GA passed away on June 23, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Kenton and Dora Alice Hill; siblings, Edna, Denny, Ruby, Dewey, Lula, Opal, and Lloyd. Buford retired as a Barber from the Vernon Manor Hotel in Cincinnati, OH. He was active in church ministry, serving as Deacon and teacher. Using the church bus, he would pick up a group of 14 year old boys for Bible study, and later led adults as a Bible teacher. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Marie Hill of Cumming, GA; son, David Hill of Cumming, GA; daughter, Phyllis Harper of Cincinnati, OH; daughter, Sherry Smith of Fairborn, OH; brother, Clarence Hill of Cincinnati, OH; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. Pastor Travis Bridgeman will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:15 PM to 2:55 PM at the church. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations to the ministry of Antioch Baptist Church where Buford was a Deacon.
