Brinton joined the Navy right out of high school while serving in the Navy he learned and earned his way to the electrical career as an Electricians mate 1st class serving aboard the nuclear sub the USS Pollack thru July13th 1966.
While concurrently serving in the Navy he completed and earned a degree in electronics technology from the Cleveland Institute of electronics in 1968.
He left the Navy with an Honorable discharge November 13th, 1969.... 7 months later I would show up on his doorstep...
As if the practical hands-on experience were not enough, He then went on to begin a collegiate education and graduated Hillsborough community college, completing an associate of arts by the year of March 1972 when I was only a year and some months old.
My father had been recognized by the Tao Beta Pi of the University of South Florida by November 22nd, 1975, for exemplary studies having exhibited distinguished scholarship and exemplary character while a student. He was also a member of the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi at the University of South Florida on December 7th, 1975.
He went on and Graduated from University of South Florida College of Engineering in 1976 as well being awarded, recognition AWARDED for both years 1975 and 76 superior academic achievement award from the University Of South Florida.
As if this was not enough To overfill a man's hat, he went on and earned an "Energy Management In Buildings" from New York University division of career and professional development in 1979
ALL OF THIS coo-coolie education...before I turned 10 years old
WHAT I DIDN'T MENTION, was that, somewhere in my earliest years... before 2nd grade, I watched my father TAKE A SHOVEL, IN OUR BACKYARD AND DIG OUT, A FULL-SIZE INGROUND SWIMMING POOL... BY HAND!!! My sister and I loved that pool!
My earliest memories consist of my dad bringing me into his bedroom while he got dressed in the morning, would you like to know WHY or WHAT FOR?? He would bring me in to spend that time with me doing something that I enjoyed so much.... Watching BATMAN and ROBIN.... POW, THWACK, BOOM! He understood that he would not be there because he was driven to succeed and knew that was our time ahead of for his long day.... He would leave before light and come back well after dark.... His life was most definitely NOT FUN! Work and school in those days.
