Brian Naber

Brian Edward Naber entered the presence of his heavenly father on October 9, 2024, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was born on December 21, 1941 in Melfort, Saskatchewan. He grew up on a farm outside of Melfort, attended Luther College High School in Regina, SK, and graduated from The University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In his career, Brian worked in the metal industry in Sault Ste Marie, ON, Fergus, ON, Hamilton, ON and Montreal, QC. Later, he was president and owner of “Metal Supermarket” in Cincinnati, OH.

Brian loved to ski, play golf and travel. He also loved to create art. Whether it was painting, wood carving, or stone carving he was a tireless artist. Despite developing Parkinson’s Disease in his late 60s, Brian continued to carve wonderful stone animals and faces for his family and friends. He was a dedicated Lutheran and a church elder for many years. He donated the proceeds of his carvings from “Stones into Bread” to several church food banks. Brian loved to sing; he had a mellow tenor voice and sang with “The Keynote Chorus” of western New York for years. He also joined with Christian singers to perform a Christmas Cantata for many Decembers in his community.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Naber (nee Moir), of 61 years, his three children- son Carston Naber of Cincinnati OH, daughter Alannah Naber/Steve Woods of Johns Creek GA, son Gavin Naber/Marie of Toronto ON, and his five grandchildren whom he adored. He is also survived by his brother Bob/Sandy Naber of Victoria, BC, his sister Pat Naber of Melfort, SK and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place at Living Faith Lutheran Church, 1171 Atlanta Highway, Cumming, Ga 30040 on Monday October 14, 2024. Visitation and Eulogy at 1:00pm. Memorial Service at 2:00pm. Interment at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens, 1390 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040. Fellowship and food to follow at the Naber’s residence.
