Brian Lee Atnip, age 53, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and the love of family and friends. Brian was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose generous heart, strong work ethic, and caring nature touched the lives of many.
Brian’s greatest pride and joy was his son, Braxton Tommy John Lee Atnip of Dahlonega, Georgia. The bond they shared was unbreakable. Some of Brian’s happiest moments were spent with Braxton fishing and camping at Cooper Creek, creating memories that his son will carry with him forever. Those special times in the outdoors reflected Brian’s love of nature, family, and simple moments spent with the people he loved most.
Brian was a hardworking and dedicated man throughout his life. He was a longtime employee of Seasonal Control Heating & Air in Cumming, Georgia, where he earned the respect and friendship of coworkers and customers alike through his commitment and dependability. He also worked alongside Keith Allen at Rider Wrecker & Towing in Dahlonega, Georgia, where he was known for his willingness to help others and his strong work ethic.
He is survived by his loving parents, Lisa Johnston and Stanley Johnston of Cumming, Georgia; his son, Braxton Tommy John Lee Atnip of Dahlonega, Georgia; his brother, Mark Atnip of Cleveland, Georgia; his brother Joey Johnston and wife Gabbie of Dahlonega; his nieces, Ashlyn Atnip and Dakota Atnip; and his nephew, Payton Atnip of Dahlonega, Georgia. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Brian was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother & Grandfather Dorsey & Dorothy Hewatt, and his uncle, Leon Hewatt, both of whom held a special place in his heart.
Brian will be remembered for his kind spirit, his love for the outdoors, his dedication to his family, and the many lives he touched through friendship and kindness. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
